Our Story
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Optical Supply Store began it's journey in 2023, but was born in the mind of the founder since the mid 2010's. The intention behind the store was to make niche eye care products available to the public in a convenient and easy way. At that time, one of the first online contact lens stores were designed and published with the trade name eContactLensStore. The online market was still growing and getting the project to fly in a population that didn't yet practice online shopping was challenging. We then shelved the online store idea and our concept merged with our physical practice in Johannesburg South, Faiza Dawood Optometrist, which later traded as Osmans Optical Ridgeway. When Covid hit and online sales became a new reality, we had renewed hopes for our original plan. After selling the physical store in 2023, we reinvented the store as a WhatsApp business where we sold Eye Drops, Eye Cosmetics & creams, Eye Supplements and Contact Lens Solutions.
We are now fully ready to take our passion project to new heights and scale this business to the huge potential it has always had.

Meet The Optometrist
"In my almost two decades of clinical practice, I have found that dry, irritated eyes is an issue for people across racial and financial demographic groups. It can affect productivity, mood and general well-being. Sometimes, a small tweak in our morning or evening self-care routines or a simple adjustment in our diet or environment can make a world of difference"
